PR10 LSA Rail
From Our Lady of Grace to the Epigenesis of Ceira: The route begins near the majestic Ceira Gorge, at Serpins. After a breathtaking view, with a privileged vista of Cerro da Candosa and the agricultural fields, the route leads to Cabril de Baixo, before revealing another natural singularity: the geological cut of the Ceira river. Following the railway line, opened with the aim of connecting the Lousã branch line to Arganil, but which was never completed, always hand in hand with the river, we cross the village of Ribeira Cimeira and then, via a detour, reach Ribeira Fundeira. Further on, next to the bridge, an unforgettable landscape unfolds.
The notoriety of the built heritage of Quinta da Maria Mendes, located on the opposite bank, and the gravel pits and cork oak trees that line the path parallel to the platform create an idyllic setting. Reaching the asphalt road, next to Cova do Barro, following the current of the watercourse, we cross the scattered houses and the floodplain composed of a vast agricultural mosaic, which extends to the river, towards the end of the journey.
